If nicotine is the problem, why should I use nicotine-based gum or lozenges?Nicorette Mini Lozenge doesn’t contain any of carcinogens (cancer-causing agents) that are found in cigarettes. Nicorette Mini Lozenge is designed to help you stop smoking. It helps you gradually wean off of nicotine over time until you do not need it anymore. |
How many Mini Lozenges should I take in a day?For the first 6 weeks after starting Nicorette, you should take one mini lozenge every 1 to 2 hours or whenever cravings occur (about 9 pieces a day). In weeks 7-9 take one piece every 2 to 4 hours. Finally, in weeks 10 -12, take one piece every 4 to 8 hours. The goal of using Nicorette Mini Lozenge is to slowly reduce your dependence on nicotine. |
Do Nicorette Gum, Lozenges and Mini Lozenges have side effects? The active ingredient of Nicorette products is a low, therapeutic dose of nicotine. This could cause problems among people with certain health conditions. Be sure to carefully read the user guide inside your package for a complete list of possible side effects. |

Step 1
Place the lozenge in your mouth, occasionally moving it side to side.

Step 2
Allow it to slowly dissolve (about 20-30 minutes) and try to minimize swallowing.

Step 3
Do not use more than 1 lozenge at a time or continously use 1 after another.

Step 4
Do not use more than 5 lozenges in 6 hours or more than 20 lozenges per day.
